- Rock Abrasion Tool- a brushing instrument that helps us get to the inside of rocks from another planet.
- Parachute/Airbags- to slow down the rover and absorb the shock as it hits the planet's surface
- Camera- to show location and give photographic information
- Miniature Thermal Emission Spectrometer- a infrared spectrometer used to detect the composition of objects such as rocks from a distance
- Infared Scope- used to debate the temperature of the atmosphere
- Electric PH Tester- to find the acidity level of the water to see if life could exist in that water
- Controls- to drive the rover around the planet
- Hands- to pick up rocks the see if hard or soft
- Thermometer- to check the temperature of the planet
- Anemometer- to measure how fast the daily wind is
Mission Statement
We are trying to find out if Kepler 22b is suitable for life and we are trying to find out what the planet is mainly composed of. we also want to find out if there is water, what the atmosphere is made of, the acidity level of the water. we also want to know how strong the gravity is there, because if the gravity is too strong it will crush life forms, and i gravity is too weak, it will allow life forms to float on the planet. Most of our goals are stuff you would need to know when you come to a new planet.
